Tuesday 20 June
Please read these details carefully as it will save time on the night. Use the links below for information on time bands and training levels.
This week's session is Pyramids on the Leisure Centre track, at 6:15pm & 7:00pm. Both sessions will be coached by Sarah and Paul.
Coach Sarah says: 'On Tuesday evening we will be holding 2 pyramids sessions. Please arrive warmed up, or allowing enough time to jog a couple of laps before the session starts. If it is very warm, we may adjust the demands of the session slightly.
You’ll be doing a mix of 200s, 400s and 800s, split into two sets - with 90 secs active recovery between intervals and 3 minutes between sets. The first set will start with a 400 rather than the usual 200 to avoid starting too fast. You will do 400/800/400/200 in your first set. For faster runners the second set will be 200/400/800/400/200. An alternative could be 200/400/400/200. The coaches will adjust the session for individual runners to ensure you get the most out of the session in the time available. Please remember to arrive fully hydrated and to bring water!'
Juniors
All track sessions are suitable for Harriers Juniors aged 14 and over. A parent must remain present on the field throughout, but there is no requirement to run together. Speak to Steve Dilley and Sarah or Paul prior to the session if you intend to bring a junior.
Performance Session
A Performance Session will take place on the Leisure Centre track, starting at 6:30pm. Eddie will deconflict the session with Sarah and Paul before the evening, and use the outer lanes if necessary. Performance sessions are open to all club members, and are of particular use to those who are targeting a particular race or PB. Speak directly to Eddie if you think they would benefit your training plan.
