Tuesday 09 May
This Tuesday is the first race of our very own Rose Inn series, starting at 7:30pm. You can help, or run, or help and run. See Marg's post or the email from Lorraine for the volunteer list.
For those not involved in Rose Inn, Eddie will deliver one session of 400s on the Leisure Centre field, starting at 6:30pm.
Please read these details carefully as it will save time on the night. Use the links below for information on time bands and training levels.
Coach Eddie says: '400s (+ an 800). So last week most managed 10 x 400 with various rest periods. This week we will do 8 x 400 but in the middle will be an 800. The 400s will be at 5k pace ( short sentences) and 800 will be at 10k pace (tough chat pace) The object will be to see if you can maintain good 400 pace after a hard(ish) 800.
So , it will be 4 x 400 then 1 x 800 then 4 x 400.
Rest is 90 secs after the 400s and 2 mins after the 800. 6:15 warm and 6:30 start
Juniors
All track sessions are suitable for Harriers Juniors aged 14 and over. A parent must remain present on the field throughout, but there is no requirement to run together. Speak to Steve Dilley and Eddie prior to the session if you intend to bring a junior.
Thursday 11 May
Thursday's run is Porthcasseg, meet in the lower Leisure Centre carpark at 6:35pm for a 6:45pm start. Al is MC and will get you into in your groups. You may choose a tempo or more social run, a 45 minute out and back run, or a walk.
After the run is tea/coffee and biscuits in the Leisure Centre bar, do please join us for a drink and a chat.
