Harriers Training - w/c 04 April

Tuesday 05 April

This week's session is Fartlek on the Leisure Centre track, with James & Neil at 6:15pm and Kevin & Sarah 7:00pm. You should warm up for at least 10 minutes prior to the session start time, either on the way to the track or around the school field when you arrive.

Coach James says:

'Back on the track! Nothing says Spring like the first session on the field, and the first one will be a fartlek.

Fartlek means "speed play" in Swedish, and it provides a fun way to develop your aerobic capacity, pace judgement and technique. The session is 25 mins continuous running, with a whistle blow indicating the start of each effort (at Zone 3 or 5k effort) of up to 1 min long. A second (double) whistle blow denotes the end of the effort, when you'll slow to around half-marathon pace'.

Thursday 07 April

Thursday's run is the first club handicap at Chepstow Park Woods. The first runners will be off at 6:30pm; look out for further details on FB & BB.

COVID-19

You must not attend any Harriers training if you need to self isolate in accordance with Welsh guidelines.

Enjoy your running.

Dickie.
