Harriers Training - w/c 07 March

Tuesday 08 March

This week's session is Severn Bridge Hills, with Berna & Joanne at 6:00pm and Andy & Stuart 7:00pm. Meet in the underpass.

Coach Berna says:

This session is designed to develop your uphill running technique, pace judgement and aerobic power, and consists of two 15 minute parts with a three minute active recovery.

After the warm-up, the main session will start at the bottom by the tunnel and you will run at Zone 2 ( 82 -88 % MHR  - short sentences ) to the turn on to the cycle track.

On this short hill the focus is on uphill running technique. Turn left and run along the flat at Zone 3 ( 97/100 % MHR  - Hard - one to two words only ) to where the cone is positioned, and run back at the same effort to the top of the longer hill. Turn  where the coach is positioned and run down to the start at a moderate pace as a recovery'.

A reminder that High Viz is mandatory for winter sessions.

Head torches will not be needed, especially as runners will be facing each other during the session. Please do think about whether you will need a head torch on the way to and home from the session.
