This week's session is Severn Bridge Hills, with Berna & Stuart at 6:00pm, and Kev & Bethan at 7:00pm. Meet just up from the underpass on the upstream side.
Coach Kev says 'Aim Of Session: Uphill running technique and pace judgement. The long hill provides strength endurance benefit.
You will be running 2 sessions of 15 minutes duration, with about 600m uphill effort each time. At the turning point relax and coast back to the start where 3min recovery (which includes the recovery run down hill) to the start.
Start the session in pace groups but run at your own effort (not in pace groups). Half marathon effort on the uphill is preferred (Zone 2). Run on left and be aware of other users and other bridge users. Hi visibility reflective gear at all times please.
Technique: Running on the hill section with good arm movement, short steps, and balanced body. This Improves running form and pace judgement and achieve consistent lap times if possible.

In order to allow Berna and Kev to plan the best session for attendees, you are requested to register if you plan to come, giving your name and pace group only. Registration is not compulsory however, and details will not be retained following the session.

Thursday 18 November
Thursday's run is Mathern. Meet in the lower Leisure Centre at 6:15pm, where Gareth will be MC, to get into in your groups. You may choose a tempo or more social run, a 45 minute out and back run, or a walk.
Please ensure you wear high vis, and bring a head torch.
COVID-19
You must not attend any Harriers training if you need to self isolate in accordance with Welsh guidelines.
