Harriers Training - w/c 22 November

Tuesday 23 November

This week's session is Elm Road, with Berna & Paul at 6:00pm, and Andy & Sarah at 7:00pm.

Coach Berna says 'This week's session is Elm Road, which is an approximately 400 metres stretch of road which is elevated at each end with a dip in the middle. The session consists of 30 minutes of continuous running both uphill and downhill in each direction with a slow down recovery at each end which will be marked by cones.

The session starts at the  Elm Close Road end of Elm Road.

The aim of the session is to improve speed endurance which is the ability to continue to express either maximal or optimated speed as fatigue increases. Aim for a 10k pace - ZONE 2.

The technical element will focus on driving arms backwards appropriate to pace and good running form.

Please wear high viv and watch out for traffic'.

In order to allow Berna and Andy to plan the best session for attendees, you are requested to register if you plan to come, giving your name and pace group only. Registration is not compulsory however, and details will not be retained following the session.
