Tuesday 06 June
This Tuesday is the second race of the GLCL road series, being held at Parc Penallta. Please car share if possible, and park at the Business Centre, Tredomen Park, Ystrad Mynach, CF82 7PG. The start is a 15 minute walk and the race starts at 7:30pm.
For those not racing the GLCL, Eddie will deliver one Pace Practice session on the Leisure Centre field, starting at 6:30pm.
Please read these details carefully as it will save time on the night. Use the links below for information on time bands and training levels.
Coach Eddie says: 'Hot topic at the moment is getting it right in K1 of a 5K, so let’s practise it. Session is 2 x 400 + 2 x 600 + 2 x 800 all at 5K pace.
Work to Rest is 1:1 ( rest is same time as your effort time ) 1:30 for 400 then rest is 1:30
After the last 800 we will finish with a 400 which will be 200 @ 5k pace and fast finish 200'.
Juniors
All track sessions are suitable for Harriers Juniors aged 14 and over. A parent must remain present on the field throughout, but there is no requirement to run together. Speak to Steve Dilley and Eddie prior to the session if you intend to bring a junior.
Thursday 08 June
Thursday is our away run kindly organised by Charlie Bendall, from the Rising Sun Pub, Woolaston Common, GL15 6NU. (Please make sure you go to the right Rising Sun!)
There is something for everyone, running or walking, with a variety of routes, see below. Road shoes are fine.
Meet 6:30pm in the pub car park - to leave at 6:45pm prompt. Parking is at the pub and hopefully the field opposite, it's suggested those who live in Chepstow may want to car share - meet LC 6:10pm.
After the run, there will be a sausage and chip supper - you will need to pre-book using the form lik below, please ensure you complete by Sunday 04 June so food can be ordered. You will need to advise veggie or meat option.
Please bring some money for a drink as only water will be provided.

Due to the social there will be no refreshments in the Leisure Centre this week.
