Tuesday 04 April
Please read these details carefully as it will save time on the night. Use the links below for information on time bands and training levels.
This week's session is 400s on the Leisure Centre field, at 6:15pm and 7:00pm. Both sessions will be coached by Eddie and Sarah.
Coach Eddie says: 'Track season at last and a sunny night to get us going. Track means adding speed to your hard earned winter endurance. Perfect session for that are 400 metre intervals, so Tuesday it’s up to 10 x 400m as follows:
Alternate speed on the 400s, first 400 at 5k pace and the 2nd is 200 at that speed and the second 200 slightly faster ( ideally 3k pace ), so laps 1,3,5,7,9 at 5k pace 2,4,6,8,10 at 5k/3K.
Rest period is from 60 secs to 2 mins ( you decide with your group).
Please calculate your own target times beforehand.
We want to get going at 6:15 and 7pm so arrive early for warm up'.

All track sessions are suitable for Harriers Juniors aged 14 and over. A parent must remain present on the field throughout, but there is no requirement to run together. Speak to Steve Dilley and Eddie or Sarah prior to the session if you intend to bring a junior.
Performance Session
The Performance Session this week will be combined with the 6:15pm session outlined above.
