Harriers Training - w/c 06 March

Please note hi-viz is mandatory for all sessions

Tuesday 07 March

Please read these details carefully as it will save time on the night. Use the links below for information on time bands and training levels.

This week’s Tuesday session is Thornwell Loops, a 1400m circuit with 90 seconds of active recovery between each rep. The session will increase your stamina and leg strength, leading to increased speed for your racing. Meet a the usual place (the alleyway by the zebra crossing, opposite the Tesco Express carpark) at 6:30 after warming up either with a run there, or come early enough to run warm up lap before the start time.

The aim of this session is consistency so try to keep the same pace throughout. However, on your last lap try to accelerate and maintain a fast pace from the roundabout to the end, as you would in a race.

This session is not suitable for Junior participation.

High-viz is mandatory

Performance Session

A Performance Session will take place on the Leisure Centre track, starting at 6:15pm. These sessions are open to all club members, and are of particular use to those who are targeting a particular race or PB. Speak directly to Eddie if you think they would benefit your training plan.
