Please note hi-viz is mandatory for all sessions
Tuesday 21 February
Please read these details carefully as it will save time on the night. Use the links below for information on time bands and training levels.
Tuesday's session is Elm Road, Tutshill, with John and Dick at 6.30. Meet at the junction of Elm Road and Gloucester Road.
Coach Dick says: 'Please arrive warmed up and ready to run. All runners must be wearing high-vis reflective gear. Please be aware of traffic on Elm Road, particularly cars reversing off drives. Also be respectful of residents when running and parking there. A head-torch is not recommended as you will be running facing other runners.
You will be running the approx 400m length of Elm Road in both directions, with a slow jog recovery of 90 seconds at the end of each length. Either way, you will start downhill and finish uphill. When running uphill concentrate on your form, keeping your head and knees high, and using your arms to drive you forwards.
Aim to run each length at the same effort, so that you finish the session as strongly as you start. If you are wanting to push yourself harder, consider reducing the length of your recoveries. We will discuss this on the night'.
This session is not suitable for Junior participation.
High-viz is mandatory

A Performance Session will take place on the Leisure Centre track, starting at 6:15pm. These sessions are open to all club members, and are of particular use to those who are targeting a particular race or PB. Speak directly to Eddie if you think they would benefit your training plan.
Thursday 23 February
Thursday's run is the Severn Bridge. Meet in the underpass at 6:35pm for a 6:45pm start, where Graham is MC and will get you into in your groups. You may choose a 5 mile tempo or more social run, a 45 minute out and back run, or a walk. Hi-vis is mandatory. Head torches will be necessary if you are running all the way around the bridge, at the Aust Services section. You may also want a head torch for the path down into the underpass.
After the run is tea/coffee and biscuits in the Leisure Centre bar, do please join us for a drink and a chat.
