Harriers Training - w/c 03 October

Tuesday 04 October

This week's session is 400s on the Leisure Centre track, with Kevin & Lindsey at 5:50pm, and James & Paul at 6:20pm. You should warm up for at least 10 minutes prior to the session start time, either on the way to the track or around the school field when you arrive. Note that the early session cool down and stretches, and the late session briefing and warm up, will be conducted off the track.

Coach Kevin says: 'The session for next week is track 400s @ Zone 3. Groups are expected to complete 7-10 laps according to their speed.

The coach will keep groups informed of how much time is left to enable them to gauge how many laps they can do on the night. Up to 10 x 400m @ Zone 3 effort with 90 secs active rest.

Raise HR to Zone 2 before session, dynamic stretches prior to session.

There will be the usual cone at approx. 300m meters to test your finishing speed.

Jog around the track after the session and static stretches as required. See you all Tuesday'.

A Performance Session will also take place on the track starting at 6:30pm. These sessions are open to club members, and are of particular use to those who are targeting a particular race or PB. Speak directly to Eddie if you think they would benefit your training plan.
