Harriers Training - w/c 18 Oct

Tuesday 19 October

This week's session is 400s, with Dick & Sarah at 5:30pm, and Sue & Richard 6:00pm.

Coach Dick says: 'We’re doing track 400s on Tuesday. You will be running as many 400s, with a 90 second active recovery, as you can safely and consistently complete in 25 minutes.

The aim is to develop aerobic power and speed. Focus on running in a group, keeping up a consistent pace, and good running form throughout.

You will first complete a warm up lap with drills, during which each pace group will agree the order of leading and timing of recovery periods.

During the 400s the coaches will encourage you to increase your cadence, and with it your speed, when running downhill on the final bend to the finish, while maintaining good form all the way. To help, you will find that the finish (and also the start) is nearer the beginning of the straight than usual'.

In order to allow Dick and Sue to plan the best session for attendees, you are requested to register if you plan to come, giving your name and pace group only. Registration is not compulsory however, and details will not be retained following the session.
