Harriers Training - w/c 06 Dec

Tuesday 07 December

Update - This session will now be on the Link Road. Meet at the bottom end of the Link Road at the allotted time.

This week's session is 400m intervals on the Severn Bridge, with James and Richard at 6.00pm, and Dick and John at 7.00pm . Meet just up from the underpass on the eastbound/upstream/Lydney side, in the space just before the gate onto the main bridge.

Coach James says: "The aim of this session is to develop speed endurance, and hone your technique and pace judgement. The session will consist of 30 minutes of continuous running in your pace groups, with 400m efforts at Zone 3 effort (around 5k pace) with 200m jog recoveries. The technical aim of the session is to maintain at upright posture throughout the session, so think of a simple word or phrase to remind yourself of this during the session (e.g. 'run tall')".

The Bridge is safe and well-lit, but please wear high viz, and watch out for cyclists. A Coach will be placed at each end of the course. Head torches will not be needed, especially as runners will be facing each other on the out and back. Please do think about whether you will need a head torch on the way to and home from the session however.

In order to plan the best session for attendees, you are requested to register if you plan to come, giving your name and pace group only. Registration is not compulsory however, and details will not be retained following the session.
