CWR – Cotswold Way Relay
Sat 3rd July.
Update.
Further to Paul's last post he can confirm that the organisers have decided
to definitely use the maprun app for race timing. Runners do not need to
be familiar with the app nor do they need to be able to read a map. The
app is merely used to log your route taken on the day. It’s a bit like
using a garmin type watch to record your activity. You can run the app
on a mobile phone or a gamin watch (FR230 and above).
This year we are allowed 3 teams and may be able to have a 4th – we’ll know in May.
As you know it’s been decided that we will have 2 competitive teams and one ‘ballot’ team .
The two competitive teams are pretty much decided and those running have been contacted already.
If
you’d like to be considered for the 3rd team, the ballot team, then
please email Paul, post on facebook or message him. There are 10 places up for
grabs. If we are allowed later a 4th team, then there would 20 places
available. Preference will be given to members who have taken an
interest in racing over the last year, from these it’ll be name out of a
hat.
Don’t
forget that there are also the Wyedean Relays on the 14th August –
anyone who wants to run that will be able to. There are no restrictions
on numbers of club members taking part.
If Niki or Paul have already contacted you, no need to put your hand up again.
