The Week Ahead 31 Dec 2012

The weekend is the busy time for Harriers this week.

The Leisure Centre's shut for some reason on Tuesday, but there'll be some keen sorts looking for the first run of 2013 by the steps at 7pm.

We've been warned of some flooding on the route of  the Sedbury run on Thursday. Some forecast drier weather may find the run clear by then, but be prepared for an alternative run if not.

Now for the races at the weekend. The Kymin race at 2pm on Saturday is not only a fine introduction to fell racing but also a Mob Match between Chepstow and Les Croupiers. So it's a call for all Harriers to run and score points for the Club.

Then 11am Sunday at Pontllanfraith is the time and place for the next LCL cross-country.

The Kymin is a short fell race and with a day's rest you should have no problem in tackling the XC. Do them both and ensure your place in the Club pantheon.

  1. And don't forget that the Kymin race is the first in the Chepstow Harriers' fell series!!!

  2. Good point Niki. Is there a car-sharing meeting time on Saturday?

And Lou/Mark - likewise for Sunday?

  3. Don't know what your route would be for Thursday but I went out yesterday (Tuesday) and Sedbury Lane is wet but no longer flooded- especially at the bridge where the old railway line goes over, that is now clear. Bishton Lane has a bit of a pond at the entrance to the milk farm.
