On Tuesday our second excursion to School Hill this month takes us one step further. Starting at the bottom we have to push on as the gradient flattens right to the Portwall. Coach Mike says it will improve our race performance on hilly routes.
The Itton 8 on Thursday for some and the 5 mile run to Shirenewton and back for those who fancy a shorter run
Regroup points for the Itton run will be the top of Ticken Hill, the turn-off right at Shirenewton, and the turn on to the Itton road by the Itton Village Hall.
Regroup points for the Shirenewton run will also be the top of Ticken Hill and the turn back at Shirenewton.
Buddy up with people of your pace group so you're ready to roll when the MC says GO!
Then put all this training into practice on Saturday at the Gwent League at Blaise Castle on the Chepstow side of Bristol. One of the shortest Gwent League journeys, Blaise is very runner friendly with a fine adventure playground and cafe on the edge of the course.
