The Week Ahead 20 December 2010

Well the Week Ahead is rather uncertain for we Harriers. A combination of icy roads and the possibility of the Leisure Centre closing early when conditions are bad (it closed at 6pm today, Monday, and may well do for the rest of the week if the weather doesn’t improve drastically) may cause us to implement Plan B.

A likely alternative to Tuesday’s advertised Hayesgate Fartlek could be a 2 mins fast/1 min slow session on the Leis Ctre field. You may remember that we did this very successfully last Winter in similar circumstances.

Continuing slippery tarmac on Thursday may also force a rejig that evening.

So please watch this Blog for the latest news.

PS Please contact Dick for any bright ideas you may have for safe training.

  1. Dick,

Plenty of off-road runs we could do either Tuesday, Thursday or both.

    Any takers ?

  2. Yes please Tom. I remember now we had a great moonlit run in the crunchy snow last year across Piercefield Pk and on to St Arvans, and then round the fields past the woods.

  4. Happy to do one both nights this week if people don't fancy laps on the field.

We could always go for a curry down the bellhanger....

  5. Yes, time to bring the 'fun' back into running. No more snowballs at point blank range this year Mr. Gibbs. Unless I see you first.
