The Week Ahead 21 June 2010

Rich Matthews’ popular ‘Up the Clock’ session on Tuesday. See if you can reach the target of two seconds for each extra 10 metres – what fun!

Or you might fancy having a go at the Beacon Batch fell race over in Somerset up in the Mendips. It’s the next run in the Chepstow Harroers Fell Race series. Points at stake, and you know what points mean? No? Oh dear…

Thursday  brings us the first Hash Run of the season. Neil has organized this one and will take us round brake and briar to a mystery destination where drink and food await those who follow the flour arrows aright.

Be ready to leave the Leis Ctre at 7 or make your own way to Mathern village hall (in the centre of the village on the right coming from the A48).

If you’re not running the Cottswold Way Relay on Saturday, why not come over and support our teams. Details on http://www.cotswoldwayrelay.co.uk/

  1. Sue has tried and failed to comment and so has asked me to do it.
The Beacon Batch is not a fell series event.
It is still a good race and I will be there (but not Sue due to her knee).
It is in the South Wales Fell Series (even though in England - but who cares - since when was the Gwent League confined to Gwent!)
So points could still mean prizes.

  2. Apologies Sue. But as Gerry says it is a nice race.

Hope to see you running again soon.

  3. Can Neil reveal where the hash will finish as Astrid would like to meet us but is unlikely to be running.

Also - are we better running down to Mathern than driving ??
